Answer first

Most franchise consultants are paid by the franchisor when a candidate buys, not by the hour from the buyer. That pay model shapes the brand list you see. Buyer-paid advisors exist; they should say so in writing. We do not collect placement fees.

Questions asked in this shape

How do franchise consultants get paid?

Often by the franchisor after a sale. Ask for the written schedule. Do not accept 'we are free to you' as the whole story.

Is a free consultant cheaper?

The fee is in the system. It may be inside franchisor economics. Free to you is not the same as working for you.

Do you take placement fees?

No.
